This inaugural story is about a Baltimore Marine named Jeffrey Wilbur James. He was among 241 service members killed in the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. 220 of those service members were Marines. To date, it’s the greatest loss of life the Marines have suffered in a single day since Iwo Jima during World War II.
